How Jake Cuenca Courts A Girl

It’s often that people always associate the title “bad boy” to hunks like Jake Cuenca. But contrary to the stereotype, Jake is actually an incurable romantic. He’s currently single but has revealed to Style Factor that he is entertaining someone. “I’m in the dating stage. But there is no pressure at the moment because I’m really busy. She’s really busy, too,” he shares.
When it comes to courtship, Jake says he’d rather be friends first. “When I was younger, uso yung nanliligaw. Like you really have to court the girl,” he says. Later on in life, Jake realized that putting your best foot forward isn’t the way to go. He no longer believes in the idea of courtship because and says that “When you’re in a relationship, then that’s the only time you see the person’s real colors and personality.” And that’s why friendship plays an important role for this hunk, and that’s what he tries to achieve first. “You know, pakiramdaman nalang kayo if you guys like each other but at one point, if it’s too obvious already, then that’s when I will tell the girl na I really like her.”

When it comes to wooing a girl, Jake goes the extra mile. “I do a lot of efforts for girls,” he says. “There are no limits to the things I can do. When I was kid, I would see it in movies and it’s something I want to do in real life. I love giving gifts and I love surprise.” His biggest surprise by far was when he booked an events place where he invited a girl. “I told her that there was a family party there; that I wanted to introduce her to my family. When we got to the events place, the whole place had Post-its of her name and there’s a mural of her there,” he further tells the story. “There was just one table in the middle. We had dinner and cheesy songs were playing,” he recalls.
He wishes though to travel with his special someone. “I would really love to travel with a girl and experience new things together.”

While Jake’s love life is still on the hush, he says that he just wants a girl who is very understanding. “Syempre my first impression with people is that I’m not the good boy type. It’s often that I get judged,” he says. “I just want someone who has consideration. Most of all, I want someone who is very spontaneous. I want to be in a relationship where there are no plans—to just live a day at a time and as if each day is your last. Eventually, when the relationship takes its course—when it matures—that’s when you think of the future.”

No Pants Subway Ride

From New York to Mexico to Stockholm to Bulgaria, some people are creating this fad of "No Pants Subway Ride". And they are doing this just for the hell of it.

I think it's time we do this in Manila too!

Gay white wedding held at Tokyo Disney

Two lesbians have become the first gay couple to tie the knot at Tokyo Disney Resort, both decked out in fairytale white dresses despite an initial ruling that one had to wear men's clothes.

"My love Hiroko and I wore wedding dresses and had a mini-parade in DisneySea, a place I also love," Koyuki Higashi, 28, said on Twitter.
"I was really happy!" she said.

The event on Friday was the first homosexual wedding in the popular amusement park even though gay marriage has no legal standing in Japan.

"We may not have a law that applies to us, but when someone congratulates us for the wedding, I will proudly say 'thank you!'" said Higashi.

The couple first hit the headlines after the theme park initially told them there would be no problem with the ceremony provided they dressed "like a man and a woman".
A staff member said a same-sex wedding would create "repercussions" among visitors if both brides wore wedding dresses or both grooms donned tuxedoes.

But just few days later the resort operator got back in touch to say their initial response had been wrong and gay couples were free to mix and match their attire.

Higashi posted photos from the celebration on her Twitter site, showing both brides clad in white and accompanied by Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Anne Curtis reacts to "no underwear" controversy at ASAP 18

Anne Curtis' "no underwear" pics from her 'ASAP 18' birthday production number last Sunday, February 24, 2013, have created quite a stir online the past 2 days.

The viewers have been wondering: "Did Anne Curtis wear underwear in her high-slit gown on ASAP 18?"

If yes, then Anne probably wore an invisible underwear. But if no, she possibly suffered another wardrobe malfunction as something allegedly got exposed during her number.

Not new to cases like that, Anne Curtis already experienced such while doing a dance number for ASAP's Boracay show in May 2010. (View: Anne Curtis' scandal in Boracay).

Then last Sunday, an exposure could have possibly happened if Anne Curtis intentionally wore no panty during her number, where she performed "Diamonds" by Rihanna.

A screenshot photo, which was captured by Interaksyon.com from the Youtube upload of said ASAP 18 number, suggests that Anne indeed had no underwear underneath.

Some fans are already worrying about the possibility of ASAP 18 facing sanctions from the MTRCB because of Anne Curtis' alleged panty-less birthday number, just like what happened to its rival show on GMA 7.

To end speculations, Anne Curtis has already reacted to the alleged "no underwear" controversy at ASAP 18.

According to Anne, in response to a tweet of one of her 4-million Twitter followers, she was 100& protected during her number, and that she's not gonna let another unfortunate incident happening again.

Her stylist friend Pam Quinones, who was with the birthday girl at ASAP last Sunday, also tweeted in Anne's defense, saying that Anne wore a dress with a built-in swimsuit.

Oh okay! It's actually my first time to hear about a dress with built-in swimsuit. I only know shorts with built-in swimsuit or tops with built-in bra. Am I so left behind?

How To Steal a Gay Kiss

TOUCH FIRST, KISS LATER
The first thing to keep in mind is--no lunging. Your movement into the first kiss should be a natural extension of a light, playful attitude towards touching that you have established from the start of the conversation, not some predatory lurch that comes out of the blue. So prepare the moment well in advance by getting him comfortable with being touched by you. We’re not talking about gross sexual groping, but instead a series of small gestures that lets him know you’re interested and not afraid of tactile contact. Examine his jewelry, feel the fabric of his shirt, flick some imaginary lint off his collar, grasp his forearm to make a point, lean in close to hear what he’s saying. Your friend should feel relaxed with your touch long before you’re ready to kiss him.

OBSERVE THE MOOD
No mutual interest, no kiss. So in your conversation, work on creating a fun atmosphere of shared attraction. Joke around. Flirt. Tease. Watch for indications of interest: you touch him, he touches you back; his eyes catch yours; he responds to your jokes and games with ones of his own; he doesn’t shy from sex talk or introduces his own double entendres. Ready to make your move?

TRANSITION TO A KISS ZONE
Talking and flirting can be done in a bar or club but kissing is far more intimate and demands privacy. Only newly-minted lovers kiss in public. So don’t put your new friend on the spot and try to kiss him when there are people around. Instead, be smooth and move your date to a "kiss zone" – a semi-private spot away from prying eyes where you can be alone together, but not a blatant sex location like your bedroom or hotel room. Made-to-order kiss zones might be: a dark corner, a quiet hallway, a bench or patio outside the club. To help overcome any discomfort your friend might be feeling, provide a plausible reason for the move: "Let’s sit over there where we can talk," "God it’s hot in here, let’s go outside," or (if he’s with his buddies) "Can I borrow your friend for a minute? I want to ask him something."

LET THE TENSION BUILD
Once in the kiss zone, continue developing attraction as before, but don’t be in a hurry. Instead, let the tension build. Take your friend’s hand and throw it away. Move close, then move back. Compliment, then tease. Try the "triangular gaze": look your friend in the eyes, then look down at his lips, then back to his eyes. This bit of body language signals that you’re strongly attracted and ready at any moment to kiss. Time to close the deal.

KISS CLOSE #1—HIS LIPS
The touching, the flirting, the quiet location--perhaps you’ve been playing a game with your lover, but your lover has been playing too. He knows what’s coming and, what’s more, wants it to come, though he may be shy. Help him along. After a triangular gaze, murmur something nice about his lips and brush the back of your fingers across them. If he accepts your gesture, he’s ready to be kissed. Draw him to you and kiss him lightly.

KISS CLOSE #2—HIS HAIR
A variation of the above: "You have beautiful hair." Reach over and rake your fingers gently through his hair, draw close and smell it, or even take a little taste. If he accepts and enjoys this intimate gesture, he’ll be receptive to your lips. Gaze into his eyes, pull him to you and kiss.

KISS CLOSE #3—JUST ASK
The famous pick-up artist Mystery has a third method a bit more playful and verbal. Once in the kiss zone, simply give your friend a significant glance and ask, "Do you want to kiss me?" If the answer is yes, you know what to do. If the answer is no, remain indifferent and say, "Oh. I didn’t say you could but you looked like you had something on your mind." If the answer indicates any uncertainty ("Maybe," "I’m not sure"), say provocatively "Let’s find out," take him in your arms and go for it.

FURTHER THOUGHTS
Don’t be too aggressive with your first kiss. Given all the build up, a gentle brush of the lips should be enough to ignite your lover’s passion. Go with the flow. Sit, wait, let things happen. The tension has been broken. You’re moving into new territory. Enjoy the moment.

Mocha challenges Catholic Church: 'Excommunicate me!'

MANILA, Philippines - Sultry singer-dancer Mocha Uson challenged the Catholic Church to excommunicate her for supporting the proposed reproductive health (RH) bill.
In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Mocha, who is a Catholic, stressed that she is just supporting sex education for the youth and women's health.
"Kung gusto nila, sige i-excommunicate nila ako kung gusto nila," Uson said.
"Hindi ako natatakot kasi wala naman akong ginagawang masama. Matagal ng isyu ito. Actually huling huli na tayo. Hindi ako natatakot kahit makipagharapan pa sa kanila. Naniniwala ako sa RH bill at sa sex education. RH bill is pro-better life," the sultry singer added.
Uson said that aside from sexually transmitted diseases (STD), the incidence of teenage pregnancy in the country is increasing. She said that she gets a lot of emails asking her about sex, which only means that the youth are not getting proper education when it comes to sex.
"Mayroon akong sex blog so marami akong natatanggap na emails from teenagers asking about sex, safe sex. Doon ko na-realize na kailangan ng effective sex education sa mga school. Kasi nga walang gumagabay sa kanila. Sa bahay hindi pinag-uusapan. Sa school hindi din, so naghahanap sila ng information sa labas," the singer explained.
To show her support for the RH bill, Uson and her group joined tricycle drivers and pro-RH bill advocates like Davao Rep. Marc Cagas on Tuesday morning in giving away condoms and purple ballers with the words "I Love Sex Education". They gave these away to the people around Batasang Pambansa complex in Quezon City.
Asked for her reaction to the critics who see her move to support the RH bill as a mere publicity gimmick, Uson replied: "Gusto kong magkaroon ng contribution kasi naniniwala ako sa sex education. So I love sex. Sex exists with or without RH bill."

Mocha vs. Manny
Mocha is not the only celebrity who has taken a stand on the RH Bill.
Before Mocha, international singer Lea Salonga vocally expressed her support for the bill.
One of the anti-RH bill advocates, on the other hand, is boxing champ and Saranggani Rep. Manny Pacquiao.
Uson admitted that she is a fan of Pacquiao, but added that when it comes to the country's problem, Pacquiao should use his head.
"Kumbaga idol ko sa Pacman. Champion of the world. Sana maging champion din siya ng mahihirap. Kasi ang RH bill kailangan ng mahihirap ‘yan. Sana maging champion of the poor siya at ipaglaban niya ang mahirap,” Uson said.

Gays hit Dionisia over slur, RH bill

MANILA, Philippines – A gay activist group cried foul over the remarks of Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao’s mother, Dionisia, in her spat with Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago over the controversial Reproductive Health (RH) Bill.

Bawal 'yan!"

Goya Candelario, spokesperson of the Progressive Organization of Gays (ProGay Philippines), said transgenders took offense at Mommy D’s statement.

Candelario said such remarks help promote homophobia and transphobia.

"With all due respect, we want Mommy Dionisia to know that we are deeply offended and scared that her words can again revive the disease model of homosexuality and transexuality in Philippine society," Candelario said.

The ProGay official said that while it is true many low-income transgenders resort to using contraceptive pills in order to enhance their femininity, the practice should not be considered immoral, illegal or a state of mental disorder.

"Many of us have to take some form of female hormones because our livelihoods in the beauty and tourism industries depend on enhanced feminine features. However, because of expensive hormones that only high-income transgenders can afford, we urban and rural poor gays and transgenders can only access the cheaper birth control pills," Candelario said.

In favor of RH Bill

Candelario said ProGay is also in favor of the RH Bill.

He said low-income Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgenders (LGBTs) in Philippines can also benefit from the measure.

Candelario said the passage of the bill can help the transgenders better understand the effects of hormones and other reproductive health technologies.

"That is why we are pleading with Ms. Pacquiao to come out with a better view of transgenders and gays. She should understand our situation in order to see how much we can benefit from the approval of the RH Bill," Candelario said.

According to a survey made by ProGay among transgender groups in the slums of Manila, many transgenders take pills in their early teens in order to work as overseas entertainers.

The group believes that the RH campaign should be extended to the LGBT sector to reduce the health risks of contraceptive pill use.

Manny Pacquiao to guest in "Glee"?

Champion boxer turned singer, actor and politician Manny Pacquiao may be gracing the silver screen with a microphone for the musical series Glee, reports The Examiner.

In the article, Pacquiao said that he has been invited to take part in the third season, joining the ranks of fellow Filipino guest stars Charice and Darren Criss. However, Pacquiao himself clarified in an interview with ABS-CBN News that while he's had informal talks with the producers, nothing is final. The boxing champ has yet to receive a confirmation for the questing.

The invitation, according to ABS-CBN, may have stemmed from Darren Criss' voicing out that he would like to work with Pacman.

Pacquiao, who released several albums in the past, has the support of his family and friends if ever he does guest on Glee, reports ABS-CBN

Manny Pacquiao tells 24 Hours that his work in Congress is a priority over the guesting.

Asia's most sinful cities

By Andrew Willis

The best cities in Asia for indulging the devil on your shoulder

Seven deadly sins -- seven lively Asian cities. We all stray off the path of righteousness from time to time.

So if you're going to end up in hell due to a temptation to eat more than your fair share of stinky tofu, take a detour to Taipei first. Or if pride's your vice, take a turn toward Manila.

These Asian cities take a sin and turn it into a raison d'รชtre.

1. Gluttony: Taipei, Taiwan

Cheap eats, everywhere, day or night.

Taipei sports 18 streets dedicated to nothing other than food. Where you might usually expect a bus shelter, instead you'll find a barbecue. Sidewalks become snack stalls. The pungent smell of stinky tofu fills the air.

Night markets in Taipei have become famous for their snack selections, or xiaochi, literally meaning "small eats."

The dishes may be little, but so are the prices, running around US$1-2 dollars. A fat gut never came so easily.

2. Sloth: Seoul, South Korea

When South Koreans are not racking up overtime, they're collecting bandwidth fees.

Seoul's Internet has been honed, sculpted, streamlined and sped up to such a degree that no one really needs to move, at all, ever, except maybe when the orc hordes descend in "World of Warcraft" and some rapid double-clicking is required.

South Korea has been ranked the 15th laziest country in the world (and the first in Asia) by The Daily Beast. And there's every reason to assume they'll get even lazier.

A recently proposed government policy seeks to advance digital technology in the capital, partly influenced by demand for online gaming and streaming video, and will take Internet speeds to 1,000 Mbps by 2012.

So if some of the 39 million connected South Koreans wanted to emulate their favourite national soccer heroes, they may as well just do it via "FIFA Manager."

* More on CNNGo: South Korea to impose midnight online game ban

3. Pride: Manila, Philippines

Much is made about the loveliness of the Filipino female. But you wouldn't know it by talking to the Filipino men -- they're too busy gazing lustfully into the mirror.

According to a study from Synovate, Filipino men are the most narcissistic in Asia. A whopping 48 percent consider themselves sexually attractive.

And if the ladies reading this think the guys' encounters with the brow tweazers are for your benefit, sorry -- nine out of 10 Filipino men polled said they liked to look good for themselves, not anyone else.

By way of comparison, just 25 percent of men in Singapore considered themselves sexually attractive, 17 percent in China and Taiwan and a measly 12 percent of Hong Kong guys think the same.

4. Greed: Shenzhen, China

When everyone else was tightening the belts, Shenzhen carried on regardless, pumping out billions of dollars worth of high-tech products.

Shenzhen is one of the fastest growing cities in the world, with a provincial GDP of US$42 billion -- that's more than some countries such as Guatemala and Lebanon, and four times more than Iceland.

Meanwhile, China's millionaires keep millionairing -- it won't be long before there are 1 million U.S. dollar millionaires in the country, guided by Shenzhen's philosophy: if you can't make a million, make a billion.

5. Lust: Tokyo, Japan

Japan's sex industry is worth an estimated ¥2.5 trillion (US$30 billion), second only to the country's automobile industry. Is there any competition?

According to "Pink Box" author Joan Sinclair, "Japan offers absolutely everything imaginable."

From gratuitous puke porn (and worse) to the barely titillating maid cafes, Tokyo is like a dirty old man in a teenager's body. But one who celebrates his lewd desires with the gusto of an exhibitionist poodle on heat.

Head here to indulge your fetishes or simply to have yourself bathed by a pretty young thing in a uniform.

6. Envy: New Delhi, India

More Indians emigrated in 2010 than any other nationality in the world except for Mexicans, according to the World Bank's Migration and Remittances Factbook 2011.

Some 11.4 million Indians headed elsewhere to find a better life, drawn by the lure of things done properly.

India, and its capital New Delhi, has the world's worst case of grass-is-greener syndrome.

 7. Wrath: Pyongyang, North Korea
Pugnacious, belligerent, quarrelsome ... the North Korean capital is the moody adolescent of the continent. But unlike most spotty delinquents who express their angry insecurities by piercing body parts or coloring their hair, this one sinks ships and shells islands.

North Korea's national sport is Taekwondo. If there's a food shortage, the military get served first. Propaganda films talk of the "invincible power" of the North Korean army and posters in the capital state, "The way to peace is on the point of a bayonet."

Its army comprises nearly 1 million troops, out of a nation of 24 million.

Still, the Dear Leader Kim Jong Il does claim to have made the world's best ever golf score -- an astonishing 38 under par on a regulation 18-hole course incuding five holes-in-one. And that on his first ever attempt, too.

Perhaps he's not so bad.

The Coolest Places this Summer!

Hello BOLers.

Writing and reading stories is fun.But it can also be tiring at times. So why not take a break and go on a vacation?

Here are some of the coolest places to see and visit in our beautiful country:

Pagudpod
Forget Boracay, visit Pagudpod in the North. Yet to be a top tourist destination, Pagudpud remains a pristine paradise of graceful coconut trees, simple huts and a peaceful breeze. Shimmering white gold sand and sapphire waves stretch out endlessly, with remote coastal areas provide unforgettable diving experience.

Camarines Sur
10-12 hours away from Manila is the Spanish-founded settlement of Camarines Sur. Its name comes from camaronchones or camarines, warehouse or barn in Spanish. Small nipa and bamboo huts are still used by the locals of the area. Now a favorite destination for vacations, visitors can enjoy wakeboarding at CamSur Watersports Complex, taste sinarapan, the smallest fish in the world in Buhi, or explore the miles of beaches, or see the awesome rock formations in the Caramoan Peninsula National Park.
After seeing the limestone islands, kayaking, collecting beautiful shells, hiking and spelunking, your trip home is sure to be filled with happy memories.

Vigan
400 kilometers from Manila is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Vigan. With its old Spanish architecture throughout the center of the city, Vigan is the best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town. The ancestral houses were built mostly by rich
Chinese traders with thick brick walls and plastered with red clay. The sturdy tile roofs are made to survive earthquakes. Walking around the town and seeing St. Paul's Cathedral, the Palacio de Arzobispado and the Burgos National Museum will definitely keep you breathless.

Tagaytay
The nearest getaway from Manila, Tagaytay is the ideal romantic vacation spot. With a breathtaking view from picnic spots overlooking Taal Lake. Couples can bond with an assortment of activities like horseback riding, golfing, or simply sightseeing. With the lush greenery and vibrant flowers, every moment is picture-perfect.

Baguio
The City of Pines and the Summer Capital of the Philippines, Baguio is everyone's favorite place to go to for a change of scenery, and the lovely cuddly weather. Popular spots like
Camp John Hay, Burnham Park, Session Road, Mines View Park, the Strawberry Fields are timeless.
Whether you're off to visit the breathtaking views of the North, or the cool places in the South, make sure to keep your journey fun, safe and trouble–free.

Have a fun and memorable trip!
